Adjustments

All of our children are adjusting to school SO well.  We are very proud of them and so happy to have each one of them.  We had a great week, ending with our very first spirit day!  Enjoy a few pics from the week:

This group is SO good at paying attention, especially for this point in the year.
In art with Ms. Heidi this week, they painted bubble wrap to make a print of it.
Friday we had our first spirit day!  The kids all looked adorable in their TOT Time t-shirts!

God made the sun so our kids painted their own sun!
We celebrated some pacifier/lovie FREE moments this week.  Yay for everyone adjusting well to being in school!
We love smiles much more than sad faces!

We took a break from playing and attempted a group pic since everyone looked so great in their t-shirts, but I guess it was inevitable that we had at least one unhappy camper...still a super cute pic :)

Then we let everyone get back to playing.

Elliott spotted an airplane.

Then we got a picture of our entire class right before the spirit day festivities.  We went up a little early so that our kids could get used to being there before ALL the kids in the school filed in and began cheering.  They did AWESOME!  No crying at all.  They participated with dancing and pompom shaking.  It was great!!

We hope you have a great weekend!  Please check your email for a note about a change in procedure we'll be implementing this week.  Thanks.

First Impressions

What a great class we have!  We are so proud of our little ones (and their parents) for what has been a wonderful adjustment phase so far.  Chaos, on some level, is to be expected with the start of the year in the toddler class, but we have been amazed with the number of moments that have NOT been chaotic!  Yay!  It really is a sweet bunch of kids and we look forward to seeing what we can do with them this year.

Here is a glimpse of what we've done the first couple of weeks:
We've done lots of art!  (The color of the month is blue.)

We made these name signs for the bag hooks. Don't they look great?
We also painted with blue in art class with Ms. Heidi.

We painted the letter A with bingo markers - these were a big hit!

Grant was enthusiastic and decided to make his mark on the wall as well.
See the Z?  Good job Grant! or should we call you Zoro?  (Don't worry, it washed off the wall.)
We read books...they have a pretty good attention span for this stage in the year!

We also did lots of playing!  Inside and out.

And in case you hadn't heard, Grant is a new big brother!!!  Congratulations to Grant, Mom and Dad on TWO healthy baby girls!  You are all in our prayers during this time of adjustment.
Have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you Wednesday!
