Catching up!

I've been out of town for the last 2 weekends so I haven't posted in a while!  We have a lot to catch up on:
A couple weeks ago, we had music with Ms. Beverly outside in order to avoid scared toddlers during the fire drill.  It was fun!

We also had spirit day with the whole school that day.  Ms. Sue was out of town, but Ms. Hillary helped me and had lots of fun with the kids.
Bingo markers are the best!  They painted this itsy bitsy spider with them.

Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see? Animals, colors and sounds!
God told Noah to build an ark...
And the animals came in 2 by 2...

And then we danced...
Shiloh decided SHE wanted to be orange like the tiger they painted in art with Ms. Heidi.  (Mom and Dad, I had to grab a pic before carefully cleaning off that eye!)
We did a few fun rhymes about 5 pumpkins
 peek-a-boo
 Then we painted "pumpkins"...

and used shapes to turn them into "jack-o-lanterns".
Whew, we've been busy!  So busy that one of our friends actually tuckered out right in the middle of lunch.  Can you find him?
Elliott gets a little video feature for his unintentionally entertaining little lunch naps.  He gave us a good laugh. :)
Stay warm this weekend!  See you Wednesday for some Noah's Ark fun!!!

Animals!

Animals! Animals!  Last Friday we talked about all the animals in the ocean.  We also read the story of Jonah and the whale.
This month we are learning about the letters D, E, and F.  I'm trying to teach them the signs, but it's hard for their little fingers.  They are trying!
We had music with Ms. Beverly.
And we saw some older friends out on the playground!
Grant tried to master the basketball hoop.  I'm sure he'll get it by the end of the year!
Then today we talked about farm animals and all the sounds they make.  We were sad to be missing two friends who were out sick, but we still worked hard and had fun...

I caught some great smiles on the playground today...

And Cannon was being extra silly today...hehe.

We hope everyone gets lots of rest and that all our friends are healthy soon!  Hope to see everyone Friday :)

One month down!

Last week finished up the month of September for our class.  I really meant to write a blog post about it over the weekend but my family was so busy with activities and just being out enjoying the beautiful weather that I didn't get the chance!  Another task I didn't do was to get pictures printed for our classroom door.  (You may have noticed the little faceless animals out there.  So sad.)  But rest assured, there will be some adorable faces up there on Friday.  Here's a sneak peak:
Now please enjoy these pics from our fun last week...
 Our studious puzzlers...

 Music with Ms. Beverly.

Can you believe it's already October!  Today we began a new month with our toddlers featuring the color orange, the letters D, E, F and the number 2.  Our theme for the month is ANIMALS.  We have lots of fun things in store, topped off with an adorable Noah's Ark parade at the end of the month.  More details to come!

We are trying to teach each of the children the first letter of their name, so we use the green felt board to place the letters and match with pictures of the children:
In art with Ms. Heidi, they painted with the new color of the month over a leaf print.  They seem to be getting the hang of it!

We enjoyed another beautiful day outside today!

Look at this crew...they're so good.
Friday we will be learning about Jonah and the Whale so if you want to read that story at home with your children, that would be wonderful!
We hope everyone stays healthy and that we'll see you Friday!
