Love is in the air.

I hope you all loved your Valentines featuring these sweet faces...
We spent the beginning of February focusing on hearts and love.  Very fitting that we would learn the song "Jesus loves me".  We tried to teach the sign language that goes along with the words:
Jesus
 loves
 me.
We decorated Valentine bags...

 And filled them...

We have been working on matching colors together, so they had a chance to do their own.
And there was even some time for a little dress up fun.

For the second half of February, we will be focusing more on our transportation theme.  Cars, trucks, planes, trains.  We've already done the wheels on the bus and airplanes.  The kids are all really into this transportation theme, so we should be in for some fun!

Hope you were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful snow this weekend.  See you Wednesday!

February!

It's hard to believe that January is over and February is here!  We finished up January on Wednesday with talking about our senses and we used sense of touch while gluing several (white) items with different textures to black paper.
Then, later made some colorful watercolor paintings!
On Friday we began a new step in our quest to teach the kids their "first letters".  We are asking them to say their letter and put their letter by their picture.
We are working on naming colors and matching same colored hearts.

And of course, we had spirit day to make up for our weather cancellation last week.  Check out these two pig-tailed pom-pom girls...
We also read the story "Children Come To Jesus" on page 208 in the Rhyme Bible Storybook if you'd like to read it at home as well.  We will be talking lots about how much Jesus loves us this month!

Have a great weekend and we'll see you on Wednesday!
