Have a great summer!

It seems so quick to be writing this last post for the year.  It was fun to compile the photo books of each child and see how they've grown!  I hope you enjoyed them as well.  Also, remember that any picture on this blog can be copied to your own computer by clicking it and then saving!

We had a fun last day with the kids.  We weren't too sure how they would do with water play, but they were completely entertained and really well behaved!
We filled buckets with water and had lots of toy options for them to choose from.  They just did their thing.  The boys were especially interested in filling cups with the hose...
We had a sprinkler out for a little while, but they just seemed to want to fill their cups with the water coming out of it (see Walker below), so we went back to just the hose.

We had some sidewalk chalk for those who were a little water shy.
Caroline was the first brave one to try getting in the water.  (We were surprised someone didn't try it sooner, actually.)
But then everyone wanted a turn...
Gabi was the most shy, but she still looked cute in her little suit!
At the end of the day, they all got to have a special treat for Oliver's birthday.  Thanks Oliver!

"Goodbye may seem forever.  Farewell is like the end, but in my heart is the memory and there you will always be."    -Walt Disney

Each of the children in this class will always be special to us.  Please, please come visit us next year!  We look forward to seeing you again!

Have a wonderful summer!!!
Love,
Sue & Kim

the end is near...and happy mother's day!

First, we'd like to say a BIG thank you for the Teacher Appreciation day love from you all.  We received a generous gift of money and were able to enjoy a wonderful luncheon thanks to all of your contributions.  We LOVE our parents!  Almost as much as we love your kids ;)

Can you believe we're down to our last week of school?  Crazy!  Our little toddler class has come a long way.  We even lead the school in the Spirit Day cheer last Friday!
The idea:  Gimme a T! (child holds up "T" sign), gimme an O! (next child holds up "O" sign) and so on... What's that spell?! (TOT Time!)
To keep them in order, we brought down the chairs.  It was hard to get it captured in pictures, but they did a pretty great job holding up their signs with some prompting and not being scared of the whole school sitting in front of them yelling.
Then afterward, we had a visit in our room from a perfect little ladybug.  It was very intriguing.
With the beautiful weather lately, we've had some opportunities to play outside on the small playground.  Ahh, fresh air and another opportunity to see how much they've grown since the beginning of the year when kids eating mulch was an actual concern :)

We even got to see some siblings out there, which was very exciting...

I've sent this picture to you in an email, but thought it was worth posting again here.
Before we eat lunch, we sing a blessing and all the kids fold their hands.  They know just what to do and some of them even sing along with us now!
In case you don't already know them, here are the words we sing:
God our father, God our father,
Once again, once again,
Thank you for our blessings, thank you for our blessings,
Amen, amen.

Now for a special Mother's Day treat from music class on Friday:

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Moms, I hope you are celebrated and given lots of extra love.  See you Wednesday!
