A New Year: First Step Camp

We had an excellent few days at our First Step Camp this week!  We have been so impressed with the relative ease of transition these kids have made.  We think we're in for a fantastic year with this group.

Just a few reminders:
Open House is next Tuesday, September 3 at 10:00am.  You can drop off the children in our room with us, and then join Patti and the other parents in the Video Cafe until around 11:00.  This would be the time to turn in all those important forms that were in the packet we brought to your home visit, and to bring any classroom supplies that you haven't already sent in.

The first day of school is next Wednesday, September 4.  School hours for the first week are 9:15 to 12:00.

School hours for the second week of school and the rest of the year are 9:15 to 1:00.

Now for the fun part, pictures from First Step Camp!  Enjoy...

We tested out the new playground equipment on Monday.  The kids did really well!  No mulch eating or anything :)

Ms. Sue helped the kids make handprint owls (that are now on our classroom door).

We also had some great play time in the gym.  This crew seems really comfortable with the variety of ride-on toys we have available.

Emma was a little distracted by my camera :)
We have lots of options for playtime in the classroom as well.  The kids all seemed to enjoy exploring the new toys.

We played with Play Doh at the table today.

And we end every day with music time.  Today we brought out our maracas and the kids loved shaking them!
We are really looking forward to seeing you all again next week!  Have a wonderful weekend!
