Peek a boo (and other games)

Impromptu games during lunch have been popping up lately...
Spring fever has set in on Wednesday, so we decided a buggy ride was in order!
And we took the opportunity of being out on such a beautiful day to try to snap a class picture...
Friday, we attempted a sensory activity with shaving cream.  It started off very tame...
Some of the kids were very deliberate and cautious with the experience...

 Others really got into it...

But then the enthusiasm turned into this...
 Which inspired this...
 Which inspired this...
It all happened so quickly, as I'm sure you can imagine.  We want to assure you that no children were harmed during this activity, they just got a little messy :)  We carefully cleaned them up right after snapping these pictures.  It just had to be documented.

Then when they were all good as new, we went to the Spring Sing Along.  How adorable were they performing???  I loved the format and think our kids did really well, all things considered!
Hope you all are enjoying this cooler weather before summer heat kicks in.  See you Wednesday!

Spring Break

I meant to do this post much sooner, but my spring break just hasn't gone as planned!  When I pulled these pictures up today, I realized that it seems like forever since I've seen these sweet little faces!  Look forward to seeing you this Wednesday for the start of a new month, when we will discover "the world God has made".  Until then, enjoy these pics from before break...

Painting the cross purple...
Most of the kids ended up turning it into a finger painting project.
Decorating Easter bags with beautiful bright spring colors and spring themed stamps...
Pretty irresistible, so this turned into a finger painting project for some as well.
Did you see your cute little Easter chick magnet?  These were done with thumb prints.
And the Easter egg hunt...we had eggs hidden all over the gym and one for each child outside the door  so that we would have the chance to show them what they would be looking for inside.  Some kids totally knew what to do and others participated without any urgency.  So funny at this age!
A couple of the kids ended up with rocks in their bags.  Haha.  I guess I can see how they might get confused?

We kept the hiding places simple so that they wouldn't lose interest...
Once they decided they had enough (even if there were still several left to find), they went on with play time...
 Easter eggs in tow...
Hope your spring break was wonderful and we look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!
